Some Reasonable Reactions to UK Organic Study

Friday, July 31st, 2009

We going to be adding a blog for posts like this in the future, but for now, I thought this issue was too important to omit from our site…

The flurry of news stories about the faulty UK study on the nutritional benefits of organic foods is disturbing, mostly because of the narrow view of the value of organic being only about nutrition. It’s about so much more!

On July 22, 2009 Laura Flanders of GRITtv featured W”O”AO? on her Got Docs? segment. We’re pretty flattered about this since Shelley is such a fan of Flanders’ work at FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting)! Check it out: http://lauraflanders.firedoglake.com/2009/07/24/got-docs-whats-organic-about-organic/.

We are also grateful and glad to announce we’ve recently received an outreach grant from the Lucius and Eva Eastman Fund. This means you’ll be hearing more about the film’s release and our outreach efforts soon!

Hope the summer warmth and showers are treating you and your gardens well!
