Online Premiere, this FRIDAY June 1st! Spanish Subtitles & New Extras!!

This Friday, June 1st will mark the official Online Premiere of What’s Organic About Organic? That’s right folks, you can help us reach our widest audience yet by sharing the link on Facebook, buying a streaming rental for a yourself, a friend/family, or embedding it on your blog/website! We’ve got some nice bundle deals with DVDs & T-shirts, so check it out… Plus, our streaming platform, Distrify, has an affiliate program, so you could make a percentage of the sale when you share the film! I am so grateful to have access to a platform like Distrify that allows us to maintain our media independence and share our film in partnership with you, our audience. Please know all of your purchases are still going to reimburse the costs of production. Yes, all those long hours by all those who offered their time & talent to make the film possible are still getting paid back slowly but surely.

I’d also like to extend a special, heartfelt THANKS to our friends Andy Grant, Ursula Carrasco & Jose Perez who helped make the Spanish subtitles on this edition possible. Andy donated the resources needed to get the subtitles embedded on the source files and Ursula & Jose used their native tongues to help translate our farmers’ words! I am incredibly grateful that the Spanish speaking community will now be able to watch and enjoy our film.

As part of this exciting online viewing experience, we’re also premiering FIVE never before released Interview Extras for FREE! So even if you’ve already seen the feature film, be sure to check out the Extras–there are some learned folks on there talking serious smart farming talk, go here for your kodi download and be able to stream the movie and the special features.

In addition, to celebrate reaching this wide audience and broaden it even further, we will be offering FREE public screening licenses for qualifying non-profits for 3 months! That’s right, during the dog days of summer, your local non-profit organization can simply fill out the screening application & refresh the whole community with an invigorating!!

I also want to take a moment in honor Father’s Day to express my sincere gratitude to WOAO Executive Producer, my Dad–John T. Milburn Rogers. Without him & his unwavering support, What’s Organic About Organic? would not have been possible. Even when he had his questions about why the heck I cared so much about this film, he believed in me and my ability to work tirelessly to produce this film. I’ll be forever grateful for his encouragement & belief in me. And I’m consistently inspired by his perseverance in the quest for justice. Thanks Dad!

So, in honor of him & dad’s everywhere who fight for social justice, I want to share the DVD that I’m giving to my Dad for Father’s Day with you–Disturbing the Universe, Emily & Sarah Kunstler’s film about their dad, William Kunstler. It’s a beautiful story about a pivotal figure in several very public moments of modern US history who’s commitment to social justice was unwavering.

My thanks to you for your interest in & support of my films. We’ll be out on the road again soon, heading to farms in Minnesota, Saskatchewan, and California for our “How Fair is your Food?” project. We’re looking forward to bringing more farmer stories to you to continue the conversation about a healthy, just food system for all. Be sure to check out the Little Bean Productions Facebook page & Twitter feed for updates & photos on their upcoming shoot!

In gratitude,
Shelley & the WOAO team
