Agriculture Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan announced yesterday at the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) meeting that $50 Million in funding will be available to organic growers nationwide!
Funding for the initiative is being made available as part of the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). We are thrilled that the new administration recognizes that organic production is about conservation and environmental quality!
Applications received from organic producers or producers in transition to organic farming will be accepted under this initiative between May 11 and May 29.
